How can I earn money with an ad on Google - My first $100 on Hub Pages using Adsense

 So you ask "How can I make money online?" How can I  get money from Google? Are people really making money with Adsense? Well I can anser all these questions and will in this hub. You see I can answer these because I finally crossed the magical $100 payout threshhold that seperates potential Google money recipients from those who receive a check.

Make no mistake, making money from Google, even with a great application such as Google Adsense takes effort. Those who count their google income in multiple digits have put in long hours of research on keyarods using programs such as Google Adwords to narrow the potential high paying keywords that are paramount to your success.

Yes, you can! Google is the behemoth that was built to dominate the search engine world and it has succeeded in that goal. Millions of searches are made each day, which to advertisers mean that traffic to their sites and products is guaranteed. If you are selling something, you want the kind of traffic that is going to purchase your product. Over the years Google has been on the internet they have fine tuned their model to serve potential advertisers interests.

Want to know how you can shar in the Google money? One great way is through something called Affiliate Marketing. This is Google's offer to let you share in the Google income stream. Basically you agree to help Google promote products within your blog or webpage. My experience mostly comes from promoting on Hub Pages, but their are many places to do this.

Basically you allow Google ads to display within your content. Then if someone finds the Google ads relevant and clicks on them you hear the cash register ringing! Bear in mind it is not always dollars with every click as you have some factors that affect your earnings, but it is money all the same.

That's right I have now earned in excess of $100 using the affiliate marketing program with Google called Google Adsense. It didn't come easy I tell you. I have 139 "hubs" on hub pages, but only a fraction actually generate any money. Why is this? It is all about marketing. Your content needs to be targeted for products people want to buy. Otherwise you get low paying ads or ads no one wants to click.

In truth less than half my hubs have earned even a penny. In fact one hub has earned almost fifty percent of the initial $100. So I surmise from these figures that I have understood how to research keywords for at least that well performing hub. What is it about? Nice try, but I won't give away my secret that easily. I will encourage you to try this method of making money on Goole, but I won't hand over my Google income that easily.

So you may have to pardon that analogy for its corniness, but do not totally pass on the concept, because Google Adwords is a great way to winnow the low paying keywords and phrases from those that deliver the cash. This tool designed by Google is intended to help you filter down your possible keywords so that you get the best possible results.

You can filter by location (countries), compeition for the keyword, CPC (Cost per click) and amount of searches among the most important filters. For instance, even if a keyword is high paying if no one searches for it you won't gain much by including it. In contrast, what if there is a million seraches but it pays nothing.

They key is to identify high paying keywords that have not collected a lot of attention. The internet is a highly competitive place and you want to find the areas underserved just like any business. If you look at the picture below you will see adsense has low competition, high views and high CPC. So if you put that in a hub it will begin delivering dividends imeediately --NOT!

Another limiting factor is your title. You have to differntiate your content so people search on it and for it in order to get results. So do some work by searching for your perspective title to see if it is already in use. If someone else already has the title ranked by Google your attempt will get buried in the binary abyss.

There is a significant learning curve on Hub Pages you must conquer to fully realize the Google AdSense income. As you can see from the graph above my largest income months have been the last three. The graph reflects earnings per month. I took part in the 60 day challenge, a focused effort to prepare hubs targeted toward specific ideas and using the corporate approach to try to benefit all of us.

The hubs I created during this challenge are strong components of my increased Google AdSense earnings. I am enjoying the fruits of my labor at researching low competition but high paying keywords. Also the time deciding and then tweaking on my titles is also showing results.

I look forward to the holiday season and the increased opportunity to grab some of the gobs of cash people will be spending as they seek to fill their Christmas lists from online shopping.

 I don't really know for sure what I will do. I just bought a new laptop which serves as the family PC. I am toying with the thought of a Kindle, but who has the time to enjoy it?
